Hello Readers,
Recently, I shared a very interesting conversation with Gopi Kallayil, the Chief Business Strategist, AI, Google and a good friend, that led to some wonderful insights on how to take care of our health at a time where everything around us is designed to pull us down.
Sharing some of the highlights from our conversation below.
- Today, we are living in interesting times where all the modern comforts and the quality of life is increasing while our physical and mental health is on the decline.
- In earlier times, a healthy lifestyle was not always a choice but also a way of living. But today, our lifestyles are designed in a way where it is extremely easy to fall off the wagon and lose our health.
- The solution to this paradox is not about condemning the rising modern amenities, but rather strengthening our core personal responsibility for our health. We need not eliminate these benefits, but learn to use them with discernment.
- Today, our lifestyles are not designed in a way that will keep us healthy. Only we can take personal responsibility for our health. Ruthless prioritization of your health while making daily choices is the only way forward.
- Our body is the container from which our entire life is lived and expressed. All our dreams, goals, relationships and the meaning we derive from our life comes from our body.
- When you take care of your body, it takes care of everything else. And when you fail your body, the same spills over in everything you do.
- The definition of good health is not “ not having any illness” but rather being able to operate from a peak performance in all aspects of our life.
